About

Mark is a Berlin-based DJ renowned for his eclectic, genre-defying sets. Guided by a deep instinct for atmosphere and flow, he weaves seamless journeys through disco, deep house, techno, and electro, enriched with touches of jazz fusion and space rock. His sound is less about categories and more about emotion, tension, and release. With over 30 years of experience in the European underground scene, Mark’s journey began in the early ’90s. He played at influential venues such as Intensivstation in Cologne, Rheingold Saal in Düsseldorf, Doornroosje in Nijmegen, and Babylon. In 1996, he co-founded the Orleander DJ Team and launched the Orleander Urban Culture Network—an influential event series that connected forward-thinking crowds with international artists such as Robert de La Gautier, Elbee Bad, Oliver Bondzio, Hans Nieswandt, and Highfish. After relocating to Berlin, Mark continued to explore and expand his musical vision through the legendary Klangspiel parties, curated together with the Orleander Crew. These nights became known for their adventurous programming, featuring a vibrant mix of local and international DJs and live acts including Captain Comatose, Cassy, Seth Troxler, Matthew Dear, Isolée, Magda, and Tobias Neumann. As a long-standing resident DJ, Mark played a defining role in shaping the musical identity of both Orleander and later Klangspiel. His curation, taste, and artistic direction were central to the distinct sound and atmosphere that made both projects resonate far beyond their dancefloors. Committed to constant evolution and experimentation, Mark has always resisted genre boundaries. His sets are crafted as immersive journeys—designed to move body, mind, and soul—created for listeners who value depth, authenticity, and a true love for music.
